Upon arrival at Pakse airport, transfer to the province of Champasak where you will check in the amazing The River Resort. Free at leisure till having the welcome dinner at the resort. Overnight in Champasak.

- Day 2: Champasak - Wat Phou(B, L)
Today, you will spend time exploring the fascinating pre-Angkorian ruins of Wat Phou, one of Southeast Asia's most dramatically situated temples. You have time to explore these intriguing Khmer ruins, which are perched at the base of Mount Phu Kao. Afterward, free at your own pace. Overnight in Champasak.
The River Resort
- Day 3: Champasak - Ban Khiet Ngong - Done Daeng (B, L)
Today, you will drive further south to the village of Ban Khiet Ngong, take an 1,5 hour elephant ride to mount Phou Asa, surmounted by the ancient citadel. From there you will have a panoramic view over the unspoilt area of Dong Houasao and the Mekong valley.
Then you have ample time to stroll around the village of Ban Khiet Ngong to explore the life of the local people. Afterwards, transfer back to Champasak and take a short boat cruise to lovely Done Daeng Island, where there is a wonderful lodge named La Folie. Overnight at La Folie Lodge.

- Day 4: La Folie Lodge (B)
A free day to stroll around the island or you can take the bicycle out to explore the local nearby villages. Overnight at La Folie Lodge.

- Day 5: La Folie Lodge - Pakse Departure (B)
Free at leisure till transferring back to Pakse to take your onward flight. End of services.
